Unexpected bathtime....

The other day I ran a tub and Payson loves bath's so while it was running he was saying "tub, tub". Well I was on the phone with my sis so i wasn't paying too much attention but i left to get the wipes and when i came back this is what i found.....

He just couldn't wait. I was getting those wipes because he was messy and that tub I was running was not for him.....it was for me! So I had to drain and clean the tub and rerun the water so he could bath and i ended up showering that day. So much for trying to relax!

{Playtime}

I got a surprise phone call the other day from a really good friend of mine who I have not seen for about 2 years! The sad thing is that we live in the same dang town. Tatum gave me a call and we decided to get together, so I went over to her house on Monday and she made some yummy soup and we chatted while the kids played. It was so good to see her! I LOVED her house too. Brylee was loving all the cool cowboy stuff that Kreed (Tatum's little guy) had. He is the cutest little cowboy. Tatum is due to have her baby next month so I'm going to try to hang out with her some more before then. Thanks Tatum!

Kreed (isn't he adorable!!??)

{Date Night}

Broc and I went on a really fun date last night with some good friends. Rachel and Ty were here from Utah and were supposed to have gone home but after some car issues were able to stay! So we ended up going out with them and the other Ferney siblings and spouses. We had SO much fun! First off the wait at Johnny Carinos was 80 minutes so we bagged that idea and headed over to Bajio. It was good food and good company. There were 5 couples and we had so much fun talking and just hanging out. I think it had just been too long since Broc and I had hung out with all of them. After some eating we went to the movie "Yes Man".....HILARIOUS! My stomache hurt from laughing so hard. We all really liked it! Good choice Rach and thanks for the fun night!

"EE-Haw!"

Payson is in LOVE with horses. He doesn't call them horses though, he calls them "EE'haw's". Everytime he sees one wether it be out Grandpa Kay's window at or out the car window he yells "EE_HAW!" He even loves to play with Brylee's barbie ponies and she doesn't really agree with that all to well. SO we are very excited to introduce this new "EE-HAW" that grandma found for him on a really good sale at CAL stores. He is on it ALL day long! And the bad part is that he doesn't know how to get down, so most of the day he rides it and then yells "get down" so that i will come get him down. Another bad part.....I am already having a hard time finding space for all their Christmas toys so now I have to find somewhere to put this ginormous horse! But it keeps the kid happy so I'm just going to find a place for it and be happy for him;)

-on another note....ya know that game "Hungry Hippos"? Brylee was playing that tonight and Payson got ahold of one of the little white balls and swallowed it! Scariest moment for me because I just had a conversation today with a client about kids choking and dying. He was dry-heaving and gagging and so i called the doctor and he told me that they worry if it's larger than the size of a quarter and that he would pass it.......poor kid! He was fine after a few minutes, he was back to running around and being crazy. So we are just going to wait it out i guess.

Last Day of Nursery....

It is so sad to me that Brylee is now old enough to be in Primary! These pics were a couple of weeks ago on her last sunday of Nursery. She is growing up on us, we are so proud of her for being so bright and fun, she is a blessing to our family. She has just changed so much lately. I was looking at pics of her 3rd birthday party and she looked so little compared to how she looks now, and that wasn't even a year ago! So sad to me how time flies, I definately don't want these two to grow up but there's no stopping that i guess.

Brylee's smile is so funny in these pics. She's a little Glam girl.
These two looked so cute in their Christmas Church clothes.

Christmas with the Kays {2008}

This year for Christmas my mom rented a cabin up in Driggs for our entire family (27 people!). It's the cabin of Dawn Wells, she played Maryanne on Gilligans island....anyways we had alot of fun! We went the day after Christmas and stayed 2 days. It was a little crazy with the sleeping situation, my mom warned us it would be like camping and boy was it for me! There were nearly 25 of us within 2 HUGE rooms that were pretty much right next to eachother, it was just a big loft with a door splitting it in half. There were enough beds but little kids just don't do well in a room full of people when they sleep. So we didn't last for the second night. Other than that everything was so fun!! We played games, went sledding, drank hot chocolate, had a talent show, watched movies and of course ate TONS of yummy food! My mom worked really really hard for this and it turned out so nice. We are even planning on doing it again, i think we are just going to be getting a bigger cabin with more rooms:)

Brylee and Payson were so worn out when we got home because of the non-stop fun that they had. It was so nice to sit and laugh and enjoy eachothers company. I love my family! My brothers were so awesome because they stayed out in the snow building a big hill and a jump for the kids to tube on (even i got a turn!) It was fun, I hadn't been sledding in years. I forgot I even had snowclothes! Then my other brother Justin is awesome with photography and he took all the pics, so thanks to him i have some decent ones. Thanks for the fun time everybody! xoxoxo

Christmas Day 2008

Christmas day was such a good day! The kids woke up and came out to see their stockings that santa left for them and then we headed out to Grandma and Grandpa Genta's to spend Christmas morning with them. I had to store all our presents out there and we wrapped them out there so we decided to just take the kids out there to open all the stuff that "Santa" got for them. We spent quite a bit of time with them that day because we were going to be gone all weekend to the cabin with my family. It was really fun to watch the kids. Payson just cared about the M&M's that were in his stocking and then he enjoyed opening presents after he got to eat some of those:) Brylee had such a fun time and got some really fun stuff! My kids were in desperate need of toys! She just kept saying "Oh my heck...look mom!" It was so funny. She was in awe. The bad thing was that when it was over she wanted more presents. haha. She just couldn't believe how fun it was! Broc got lots of Dallas Cowboys gear and he surprised me with an I-Pod Touch!! I didn't know what it was when I opened it but now that I know I love it! He did so good, I was not expecting that at all. Then we headed to my parents where the kids got spoiled with some more fun things (i didn't take pics, i forgot!) Then after a little R&R we headed back out to eat with Brocs parents, we had a very yummy dinner! It was such a good Christmas, i'm so thankful for all the family that we are surrounded by this time of year.

Christmas Eve 2008

Christmas eve was a tired one once again for me this year. I did a floorset at AE from 10 pm to 5 am the night before so the day of christmas eve was kind of a blur. I did get some cute pics of the kids at their grandma and grandpa Genta's house. They took their baths after dinner and then we went in and got some pics by the tree in their cute christmas PJ's then they wanted to play the piano! I love these pics, these two have been pretty good friends lately and it's been so fun! Brylee still didn't really grasp the Christmas thing until the next morning.....

A Very {WHITE} Christmas....

After the huge snowstorm we had here yesterday Broc opened up the front door to show Brylee how much snow there was and you couldn't even see where our steps were. It was non-stop snow all day long! I remember it being like this when I was a little kid but we haven't had a storm like that for a while it doesn't seem like. It's definately going to be a White Christmas! I am so glad because Broc wants to take the kids out behind the four wheeler on the sled so it looks like they will have plenty of snow for that.
Yesterday we received a card in the mail from a man that Broc baptized on his mission. He was 77 when Broc baptized him and he still sends us a card for each holiday 8 or 9 years later! We opened up the card and it was a recording of his voice singing "I wish you a Merry Christmas" Instead of "We" he said "I", it was so cute! He is the sweetest man. I remember him calling me to let me know when Broc would move areas on his mission and give me his new address (against the rules, i know but it was sweet). Anyways we are grateful this time of year to have such amazing people in our lives.
Everyone have a Very Merry, Safe, and Fun Christmas!!!
