{Valentines Day}

Little Miss Brylee looked so pretty for her Valentines party friday, so i had to snap a picture. I love this pic of her, she is ALL girl! She wears a necklace everyday, it's so funny. Our Valentines day was great! I got the the kids some little things, nothing too big and i got Broc a couple shirts. The poor guy probably didn't want clothes but he needed some:) We really don't usually do much for Valetines so i didn't really expect too much, but Broc is always too generous and gets me something good. He got me a gift card to the Buckle, so i was pretty happy! I would rather be able to go shopping than get flowers....call me crazy! Then we spent a fun day with Broc's family. A little shopping and dinner at Outback...yummo. I hope everyone else had a very happy Lovers Day!!!

Preparing for {Valentines Day}

Today Brylee and I put together some treat sacks that i volunteered to bring to her preschool for their little Valentines party tomorrow. So while Payson was napping we put them together and then he woke up to this sucker, which he was pretty happy about:)

this picture is just adorable so i had to share...he's so cute!

And here's Brylee being very proud of our little project! She felt so cool helping me put them together.

And this next picture was from a few days ago but i wanted to post it cuz i love how nurturing he is with the babies. He loves to take care of them and feed them:) Hadsome little man he is....
{Baked Potatoe Soup}
I told a couple of you that i would put this recipe on here so here it is!
1/4 C. butter
1/4 C. onion
1/4 C. flour
1 can chicken broth
1 can evaporated milk
3 baked potatoes
4 strips cooked bacon
1/2 C. cheese
Melt butter over medium heat; add onion and stir in flour(i let onion simmer for a few before i add flour). Stir in broth and evaporated milk. Scoop potatoe pulp from one potatoe. mash and add to mixture. Cook on medium until it comes to a boil. Cube potatoes and add to soup. Heat. Season with salt and pepper. Top with bacon and cheese.
(this is a great meal to make with leftover baked potatoes) and when i stirred everything in i did it pretty slow to give it a good consistancy. AND i love cheese so i put more cheese in than it calls for;) Enjoy!

A Recent Conversation....

Brylee: Mom do you have a baby in your belly?
Me: NO! Why? Does it look like it??
Brylee: (she nods with a smile) "A little big baby"

Note to self: Do some situps and stop drinking so much Pepsi

(and just for the record...no there is no baby in my belly and won't be anytime soon)

The {Benefit Everyone} Tag....

My cute sis in law, Jess, made up this fun tag. It's a tag that benefits everyone! If you like food and like to clean then you'll love it. We can all use good recipes and cleaning tips right?! (sorry Jess this took me so long to do!) So the recipe i'm going to share is a dessert one so i hope that's ok and i hope everyone participates so i can get some good ideas here!

{Homemade Oreo Cookies}

2 packages Devils Food cake mix (Duncan Hines)
4 eggs
1 1/2 Cups shortening
1 TBSP. vanilla
(mix together and roll into balls)

Bake @ 350 for 9 minutes

Filling:
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 C. butter (softened)
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
mix until creamy and frost

keep cookies chilled!

(these are SOOOO good!)

{Cleaning Product} i love....

I would have to say that my favorite cleaning product is......

I have alot of black furniture in my house and these are sooo great to dust with. I dust alot because it drives me crazy to have my black end tables and entertainment center coated with dust. These are also great because i can also wipe down our tv which gets fingerprints alot! They are great for lots of different surfaces.

I tag everyone who would like to benefit from this!

SuperBowl 09'

The only real reason i love the superbowl is for the food. If you know me then you know that's true. I don't watch sports, i have no clue whats going on in the game when i do watch. Which is odd cuz i come from a family that loves sports. I think Broc thought i would cuz my mom is always watching and when we were dating he would sit and chat with her while they watched a game. I just LOVE the food at superbowl parties. I think about it all year i think. lol no just kidding i'm not that obsessed. But we did have some dang good food this year. Me and Crissy decided to have "good food" and not just junk this year. I made a Ham and bought Garaldine's rolls and she made potatoes and salad and then my mother in law brought some really yummy desserts! It was so fun to eat and just hang out with our good friends the Kerbs'. We were rooting for the Steelers in honor of his brother Travis who is a HUGE Steelers fan! So congrats Trav on your team winning;) A good game (i did watch a little of this one). I had to get pics of all the boys, bless their hearts, they had on their Dallas gear:( They are die hard fans i tell ya. Payson and Easton looked so cute in their little Jersey's!

So much FUN....

Last night i had to chance to go out with a couple of really good friends whom i have not seen for a long time....and we even live pretty close so it's really sad that we don't get together more! I had so much fun! It was so good to just talk and laugh and reminisce about the good ol' days! Oh high school....need i say more. I just love all my friends and I'm so thankful to have so many good ones! Thanks Amber and Tatum!

Eating some YUMMY food at Texas Roadhouse!

Tatum and her cute belly:)

At the movies....we saw Mall Cop.....So funny!
And did anyone else watch American Idol last night?! I had to catch up on it this morning and i thought it was so cool. I just loved how they were in awe at how nice everyone was and i just kept thinking "if only you knew why they are so happy"........ya know? I'm pretty sure i know why (for most of them anyways probably not all)

First Day of School!

I completely spaced it and didn't get pics of Brylee in her cute "school" clothes on her first day of preschool so i snapped a couple pics later on in the day of her and this is what she was wearing......

She got a big chest full of dress up clothes for Christmas and this is one of the dazzling outfits from it. She changes multiple times through out the day. Anyways so this is our big school girl now! When i dropped her off she didn't even say bye:( She just walked in and went to her class and didn't want anything to do with me after that. So then i thought for sure she would be ready to come with me after 2 hours. Nope! I got there to pick her up and she said she didn't want to come with me. I was kind of a little bit sad. Am i that mean!? haha I just know that she needed this and she will love it so much. The only downfall is that she wasn't happy that a bus wasn't coming for her when it was time to go to school. Next year Brylee!

Preschool!

Last summer i debated off and on for quite some time weather to put Bry in preschool or not, and i went with not doing it because i thought "oh she'll have next year she doen't need two years of preschool". Well lately i have been kicking myself because this 3 1/2 year old is SO bord all day long with me and Pays at home, especially when he's sleeping for 3 hours of it. I try really hard to keep her entertained but she doesn't want to learn anything from me, she won't let me help her spell her letters and she basically just makes messes all day which i hate. Soooooo i am really really excited because i found a lady who had some spots open so i jumped on it and Brylee starts on monday! It's monday, wednesday, and friday for 2 hours each day. It will be so good for her to have some structure and have a teacher who she will let teach her. And i have to admit i'm also a little excited about the part that i get to spend those two hours with Payson and we can get some things done!! I NEVER run errands because i hate hauling both kids into the stores. I feel like i've run a marathon after i do it, so usually i wait until Broc gets home. The downfall is that i'm going to take her out of gymnastics, but i don't feel like she is getting a whole lot from that anyways. She will hopefully be starting dance in the fall. So anyways....we are all really excited and hope it goes well!

{TV SHOWS} i love!

All day i am home with my kids. I never watch tv either all day long. But when this time of year rolls around the evenings are full of much wasted time of watching these shows that i love.....it's pathetic. Good thing i'm at the Salon some of those nights so i am doing something productive!

Gotta love American Idol....watching millions of people making fools of themselves on national television with the exception of those that truly are talented and fun to listen to! And I love to hear what the judges have to say. cant wait to watch it tonight (after work that is:))

Broc and i have been addicted to this show for 4 years now. When i was preganant with Brylee we would sit in our room and watch hours of it every night. It's so addicting! Its best to buy or rent the seasons so you can watch alot of it at one time. Now that we are watching it on tv it's hard to only get in one hour a week. Did anyone see last night?? Talk about suspense. oh well it gives us something to look forward to next week!

Does anyone else have favorite tv shows?!

A Trip to the Dentist....

Today Brylee and Payson had to go to the Dentist. I thought it would be fun to have pics to show them someday since they went together and they both didn't like it! We started off getting Brylee's cavity filled and that was not fun for her. She had the laughing gas on and the light was bright in her eyes so she asked for sunglasses. It was SO funny! Kinda sad but funny. She did great until they tipped her head back and started filling the cavity. I don't know if it was because she had to hold still or because she was just scared of what they were doing with all those tools in her mouth. Overall it went well! We are so glad to have that cavity taken care of, it was on one of her teeth that are close to the front, so very visible.
Payson on the other hand did NOT like when they layed him back! Broc just held him and they put his head in the dentists hands. It was quick though and they put flouride in there so he didn't like that too well. His teeth look great! YEAH! I am glad I took him cuz I waited way too long to take Bry. The poor kid has had a rough week though. He stuck something up his nose a couple nights ago and the doc had to hold him down with Broc and pull it out with some big tweezers. Then the next day he went in for a shot that he never got at 18 months. So this is the third day in a row he has had to see a doctor. Poor guy. He's going to be traumatized!
