"Because We're Getting Married..."

So Brylee has this cute friend that lives down the street....his name is Zach. Every day she asks if she can go see if he can play. They get along really well. The other day i had set up Brylee's soccer goal game and those two were hanging out in the front so i asked them if they would like to go out back and play soccer. Zach was excited and took of running and said "YEAH lets go Brylee!" and she says "YEAH because we're getting married!" And they held hands and ran back to play some soccer and catch lady bugs (we have a million lady bugs in our new grass, i don't know what the deal is). HAHA i love how cute these two are with eachother. I wanted to record this for when they are older. Too cute.

{7 Years}

On the 16th Broc and I had our 7 year anniversary. We had Co-ed softball tournament that weekend so we planned our little get away for the next weekend. We had originally planned on going to utah but Broc won this 2 night stay at the Sawtelle Mountain Resort in Island Park and so we decided to use that instead. I am so glad we did because it was the funnest weekend. The cabin we stayed in was so nice and had a hot tub and was about 3 stories. It's a place where you can rent cabins or hotels or even camp spots and there's an indoor pool there too. It was so nice!
We got there late friday night and watched Twlight when we got there because Broc read the book this last week in 4 days! I know i couldn't believe it either, but he really liked the book so he had to see the movie again. Then Saturday we slept in and then took a ride on the mule (it's an ATV not a donkey;) haha) to Bigsprings to feed the fish, then we looped around to Ponds Lodge and had lunch. Then we headed back to the cabin and met up with our friends, the Pena's to go on another Mule ride up to Sawtelle and then to grill out. We made some dang good food, i was sick after we ate! We watched 2 more movies that night and went to bed way too late but it was so nice and relaxing to just hang out with my hubby and not have to fight screaming kids:) I did miss them though and was glad to get home.

{Big Boy Bed}

I have had many things on my "To Do" List for Payson. One of them we finally accomplished a couple weeks ago....getting him into a bed! I have had this bedding for a few months now and I am so glad we finally have a bed to put it on! His new baseball headboard is so cute and goes so well with what i'm doing in his room. He has done awesome in his big boy bed. We haven't had one problem with it (except that he likes to jump on it) so this step was a piece of cake! Now i need to work on taking away his binki's, bottles (yes he still takes milk in a bottle to go to sleep), and potty training... Wish me luck!

{Grand Slam!}

Broc finished up the season on his men's softball team last week by taking 3rd in the tournament. Broc did so good and in fact won the first game of the day with a grand slam that got 4 runs in, and then they were tied and he hit another home run which won the game! I was so proud of him. He loves this sport so much and i knew he was really happy that he had just helped his team out. His dad was there to give him a big hug when he got done running the bases after the grand slam and i kind of got choked up, it was a neat moment. I wish i could have caught a picture of that! They really share this passion of summer softball and Barry didn't play this year but was there for every game to watch Broc.

{Flowers and Brylee}

My flowers sure took a long time to bloom this year but when they did, they looked (and still do look) so PRETTY. I love when everything is in full bloom. August seems to be my best month for my flowers. Brylee was sitting on the rock in the middle of the flowers the other day so i got some pics for memory's sake. I thought it was so cute. She sure is funny lately, she plays alot using her imagination and it is so funny some of the things she says. And we have had a bit of a problem lately with potty accidents so i have had to get mean and start giving her cold showers when she wets in her undies. I am sorry if this sounds mean to you but i am SO tired of the changing clothes deal!! So she actually has taken to showering instead of bathing because me not being very smart didn't get the shower cold enough one time and she's like "Mom this is a WARM shower" and she loved it so now when it's time to bath she says "i want a warm shower, not a cold one ok mom!?" Grrrr.... oh well i don't mind that she likes to shower, it's faster anyways but i've ruined the concept of a cold shower! Oh how i love this girl though:)

{Going Private} For Real!

I have gone back and forth about the whole being private thing. And really i hate being private, it's such an inconvenience at times but i have officially decided that it is SO worth it. I was just given a blog to look at that told a story in which a mother found her childrens pics on a child porn site. It scared me bad enough that i just want to protect my kids and be sure i am doing the right thing. I had a pit in my stomach after reading it. I know there are a few of you who's emails i don't have so i am going to have to do some rearranging on my list. {Grass!}

Well i still can't believe it... every time i walk past a window i find myself stopping and gazing out at that green stuff that covers that ever so beloved dirt we had for a nearly 3 summers. We have Grass! (We already had it in the front so this is just the back yard.) I never knew i loved grass so much. I LOVE it. I finally feel like something is being achieved around here. I still haven't gotten after shots of it but i will, it looks so good and will be even better when all the shrubs and bark are in. That hole in the corner you see is our soon to be tramp. Broc put steel around the edges to keep it from caving in and to help with all the weeds. I can finally see it all coming together. So excited:) We are so thankful for our neighbor Josh who is a landscaper, he is so awesome for all his help and of course his wife for giving him up for that whole saturday to help. Thanks Amanda and Josh!
