Growin' Kids

These two have been really good about playing together lately. Finally it seems like Payson can keep up with his sis and occasionally fight back when needed;) Let's just say she's getting a little taste of her own medicine! They run all over the house screaming, playing tag, and Payson crawls around "meowing" because Brylee makes him be her pretend kitty and she puts him in a pretend kennel. i love just watching the imaginary things she comes up with.
And just for journaling....Payson Pooped in the toilet yesterday!!!!! AND Brylee slept in her undies last night, she has done so good about not peeing in her pullup and last night i just forgot to put her pullup on when we got home so i just thought i would risk it, and she did so good! She was very excited this morning when she realized she had slept in undies and didn't have an accident. She said "I'm a big girl!" Yes you are a big girl Brylee....love you!

Extensions!

Well i did it! After months of debating and growing my layers out in my hair i finally got extensions. I was so nervous but they turned out so good! My friend Krista at the salon did them and she did so good, i love them. they are actually shorter than they were yesterday cuz i couldnt handle how long they started out at, i am just not used to long hair! And since so many people have wanted me to post pics i finally decided to, even though i feel so dumb taking pics of myself like this to post for everyone to see! Embarassing. But here they are, the pics are terrible cuz i tried to get Brylee to take one and she would take them but my head wasn't in them, so here is one we got and i tried to take one of myself and that didn't work good either but oh well! Broc is gone so we made with what we had:)
(and if they look uneven it's cuz it's hard to hold your head perfectly straight while taking your own pic or trying to slouch to be in the one a 4 year old is taking...haha)

Must see....

ok ladies...if you are anything like me and like to shop (even window shopping since that's mostly what i have to do) then you MUST SEE this movie! It was so cute, i just had to laugh because of the reality it shows with alot of people and spending money, using credit cards...ect. We all can relate to that in one way or another....don't deny it! haha. Anywho i went with a group of girlfriends from high school and we had so much fun. (Tatum we missed you, i can't wait to see that baby though!)

{Jackson Hole}

Today was such a FUN day for our little family! It couldn't have gone better. We headed up to Jackson and went to the Elk Refuge, where we got to go on a sleigh ride to see all the thousands of elk. It was so incredible to be that close to them! If you haven't done this, you need to, we had a great time. And the kids were in heaven just being outside. They cared more about the horses that were pulling our sleigh so we of course had to take pics when we got done. We couldn't have chose a better day either, it was so nice!
Then we ate lunch at a place that had the best salad bar (that is like my favorite thing!) Then we headed over to the Jackson Rec center to take the kids swimming. They had a blast! I'm sad i didn't take any pics of that but i didn't want to take my camera in the pool area. We had never taken Pays swimming and he had a great time, he went down the big water slide with Broc and the little one all by himself! He helped Brylee be more brave in the water cuz watching him made her want to be more daring. It is the funnest place to take kids cuz there's a huge kiddy area with 1-2 Ft. water that they can just walk around in. Another place you should go if you have kids! (too bad Rexburg can't get something like that...grrr) My kids need swimming lessons! Anyways, i'm so glad we had such a great day (a much needed one at that!) Thanks Broc for everything, your the best!!!

The guide offered to take pics so we tried to get a family one but it's blurry and pays is kind of hidden but oh well, we tried!

{Proud}

Every morning Brylee has a routine....she wakes up, comes into my bathroom, takes off her pullup and puts it in the garbage and puts on undies. She must not like having a wet pullup on, which i wouldn't either! So this last week she went about 4 nights in a row without peeing in her pullup and she would show me every morning "look mom, i didn't pee in my pullup!"
So the other morning i was cleaning her room up and noticed on her shelf that she had hung her dry pullup on display for all to see....what a proud moment! A dry pullup, can't get much better than that at almost 4 years old!

{Valentines Day}

Little Miss Brylee looked so pretty for her Valentines party friday, so i had to snap a picture. I love this pic of her, she is ALL girl! She wears a necklace everyday, it's so funny. Our Valentines day was great! I got the the kids some little things, nothing too big and i got Broc a couple shirts. The poor guy probably didn't want clothes but he needed some:) We really don't usually do much for Valetines so i didn't really expect too much, but Broc is always too generous and gets me something good. He got me a gift card to the Buckle, so i was pretty happy! I would rather be able to go shopping than get flowers....call me crazy! Then we spent a fun day with Broc's family. A little shopping and dinner at Outback...yummo. I hope everyone else had a very happy Lovers Day!!!

Preparing for {Valentines Day}

Today Brylee and I put together some treat sacks that i volunteered to bring to her preschool for their little Valentines party tomorrow. So while Payson was napping we put them together and then he woke up to this sucker, which he was pretty happy about:)

this picture is just adorable so i had to share...he's so cute!

And here's Brylee being very proud of our little project! She felt so cool helping me put them together.

And this next picture was from a few days ago but i wanted to post it cuz i love how nurturing he is with the babies. He loves to take care of them and feed them:) Hadsome little man he is....
{Baked Potatoe Soup}
I told a couple of you that i would put this recipe on here so here it is!
1/4 C. butter
1/4 C. onion
1/4 C. flour
1 can chicken broth
1 can evaporated milk
3 baked potatoes
4 strips cooked bacon
1/2 C. cheese
Melt butter over medium heat; add onion and stir in flour(i let onion simmer for a few before i add flour). Stir in broth and evaporated milk. Scoop potatoe pulp from one potatoe. mash and add to mixture. Cook on medium until it comes to a boil. Cube potatoes and add to soup. Heat. Season with salt and pepper. Top with bacon and cheese.
(this is a great meal to make with leftover baked potatoes) and when i stirred everything in i did it pretty slow to give it a good consistancy. AND i love cheese so i put more cheese in than it calls for;) Enjoy!

A Recent Conversation....

Brylee: Mom do you have a baby in your belly?
Me: NO! Why? Does it look like it??
Brylee: (she nods with a smile) "A little big baby"

Note to self: Do some situps and stop drinking so much Pepsi

(and just for the record...no there is no baby in my belly and won't be anytime soon)

The {Benefit Everyone} Tag....

My cute sis in law, Jess, made up this fun tag. It's a tag that benefits everyone! If you like food and like to clean then you'll love it. We can all use good recipes and cleaning tips right?! (sorry Jess this took me so long to do!) So the recipe i'm going to share is a dessert one so i hope that's ok and i hope everyone participates so i can get some good ideas here!

{Homemade Oreo Cookies}

2 packages Devils Food cake mix (Duncan Hines)

Bake @ 350 for 9 minutes

Filling:
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 C. butter (softened)
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
mix until creamy and frost

keep cookies chilled!

(these are SOOOO good!)

{Cleaning Product} i love....

I would have to say that my favorite cleaning product is......

I have alot of black furniture in my house and these are sooo great to dust with. I dust alot because it drives me crazy to have my black end tables and entertainment center coated with dust. These are also great because i can also wipe down our tv which gets fingerprints alot! They are great for lots of different surfaces.

I tag everyone who would like to benefit from this!

SuperBowl 09'

The only real reason i love the superbowl is for the food. If you know me then you know that's true. I don't watch sports, i have no clue whats going on in the game when i do watch. Which is odd cuz i come from a family that loves sports. I think Broc thought i would cuz my mom is always watching and when we were dating he would sit and chat with her while they watched a game. I just LOVE the food at superbowl parties. I think about it all year i think. lol no just kidding i'm not that obsessed. But we did have some dang good food this year. Me and Crissy decided to have "good food" and not just junk this year. I made a Ham and bought Garaldine's rolls and she made potatoes and salad and then my mother in law brought some really yummy desserts! It was so fun to eat and just hang out with our good friends the Kerbs'. We were rooting for the Steelers in honor of his brother Travis who is a HUGE Steelers fan! So congrats Trav on your team winning;) A good game (i did watch a little of this one). I had to get pics of all the boys, bless their hearts, they had on their Dallas gear:( They are die hard fans i tell ya. Payson and Easton looked so cute in their little Jersey's!
