{Happy Halloween} Nerd Style

We had a Halloween Party last week with some friends and I am kind of embarrassed to post the pics of me and Broc cuz they truly are hideous! HAHA ....to say the least. We played some really fun games including one where you have to bend over without hands and pick up a paper bag with your mouth and they keep cutting it and whoever doesn't fall and can keep going down farther and farther wins. That would be me! But a couple of the guys were right there with me so it was so funny. I laughed ALOT that night....good times.

The new and improved Genta's...what do you think??

He's so dang hot....
Eli and Nicole as his grandma and grandpa....he looked JUST like his grandma...so funny!
Bruce and Crissy.....Pimp and whatever you want to call her...hooker.
We had to watch our behavior for the Nun and Priest who were there....Cecily and Dallin
The bag game...

I didn't get pics of all the couples but i was impressed with everyones costumes. Some people are so creative....not me. I bought a couple nerd kits and threw the clothes together at the last minute. My mom was a little offended that i shopped in her closet for my nerd clothes;)

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

{Family Pics Preview}

We had family pics a few weeks ago and they turned out so good. My kids were not that cooperative so i am very impressed at how well they turned out! Chantri Keele did them, she did a GREAT job! I LOVE the ones of my kids the most of all because it's so hard to get good ones of them;) Thanks Chantri!

{Brylee the Batgirl and Payson the Pirate}

Here is a little preview of the kids in their Halloween costumes. Chantri Keele did them and they are so darn cute. I just LOVE Payson in that Pirate costume, he's so cute. And Bry looks so grown up to me in these pics. They are excited for Halloween but me not so much. This Swine Flu thing is scaring me and i don't know if i will even take them trick or treating. I think we will just go see the G'mas and G'pas this year. Oh well they still look cute!!!!

What's everyone else's kids going to be for Halloween?

{Dad's Elk}

The other day Broc was on his way down from Island Park and stopped at a hunting spot he knows to listen for some elk. After hearing a bull bugle a few times he called my dad because my dad drew on this particular hunt and told him he knew there was a bull in there. So the next morning they head up (at like 5:30) And took a friend of Broc's who is very good at bugling in elk and they ended up with this beauty.....

My dad was pretty excited. He said it was the funnest hunt he had been on. They had quite the time and spent ALL day in the mountains because they had to have horses brought in the get the elk out, it was so big. They must have had a good time because i have heard about it non stop since. Now that he helped my dad get his i thought he might be done hunting for a while but OH NO....he has plenty of people who would like him to take them hunting;) That's what he tells me. I told him he should be charging since he takes days off to go.....haha KIDDING!

{Football Party!}

Mini Cheeseburgers (if your interested for the recipe let me know, it's so easy)

We had a football party last week for the Denver/Dallas game with some friends. We were all either Dallas or Denver fans. I got pics of the Dallas fans but i didn't get any of the Denver fans. Oops....next time! We had so much fun, it's always fun with our friends though. We are grateful for all the amazing friends we have. We did soups and rolls and some fun desserts including my mini cheeseburgers shown above! Thanks for the party Eli and Nicole!

*Oh and Dallas lost so it was a little sad but we were good sports and still had a good time;)

{We tried!}

So Payson threw his binki away and did so good for a whole day without it SOOOO Broc went to the store and bought him this awesome tractor because that was the deal for throwing his bink away. He LOVES this tractor and slept with it for the first 2 nights, which was very annoying because it was so bulky in his bed and would wake him up. Well the tractor wore off a bit and Payson actually has been taking his binki's again (at night mostly). I know i am so bad at this stuff. After he threw it away the first time i got it out of the garbage and washed it and put it in the cabinets because i wanted to have one "just in case". When he tried sleeping without it, it was miserable!!! He woke up at 11...12...1...2 and then i had HAD it. I gave it to him at 2 am. We will keep working on this though and hopefully get rid of it for good!

*pssst...don't tell Broc but Payson has had it all day today, but Broc also went hunting so i don't think he can say anything because i am home alone with the kids ALL day. It's for my sanity:)

{BBQ Cilantro Chicken Pizza}

1 Pizza Crust - Uncooked
1 cup Pizza Sauce
1 cup BBQ Sauce
about a handful of fresh cilantro
3 cups of mixed cheddar and mozzarella cheese
2 chicken breasts cut into small pieces and cooked in BBQ Sauce
1 can pineapple tidbits - drained

Roll your pizza dough onto a pizza pan or pizza stone. Blend together the Pizza and BBQ Sauces, then add cilantro and pulse a few times. Add sauce to the top of the pizza dough, the sauce should be thick. Then top with cheese, chicken, and pineapple. Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 18 min. (i baked mine longer than 18 minutes because my homemade dough was thicker so just watch it)

Pizza Dough:
1 1/2 c. warm water
2 1/4 tsp. yeast
3 1/2 c. bread flour (I just used regular flour)
2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar

In mixer with paddle combine water & yeast. Let sit for 5 min. & stir. Add remaining ingredients & mix on low for 1 min. Remove paddle-replace with dough hook. Mix until smooth & elastic- about 10 min. Place in bowl, coat w/ oil & cover until double 1-1 1/2 hours. heat oven to 450. Press dough from middle out with fingers until 1/2 inch thick. Turn & stretch dough then let rest for 5 min. Repeat until 10-12 inches round. Brush dough with oil to prevent sogginess. let rest another 5 min. Bake 10 min, remove from oven and put toppings on, then bake another 10-15 minutes.

I made this pizza for dinner a couple nights ago and it was so good. I made my own dough so i've put that on here in case anyone would want to do that also. I just like homemade dough better than the store bought. I took a before pic and forgot to take an after when it was done cooking but i think this gives you an idea of how loaded it was! I forgot to put the cheese on first also. So the chicken is hiding under the cheese and pineapple. You could never use enough pineapple at our house, we love it. I hope you enjoy this if you try it because it was SO yummy! Go Here for more great recipes!
