My Brylee....

This is usually what I get when I try to take a picture of her! She's about as impossible as her dad. I still loved these pics though because they truly show her just being her! She's one funny girl to be around. This was the other day going to the spray park so she was in her sunglasses and hat (she put them on herself!) I just love her so much she makes me laugh everyday! I am off to Vegas and I am sure going to miss Bry & Pays:( I will miss Broc too but he's a big boy and I know he'll be fine but I know my kiddos will miss me, at least I hope they will!! Everyone have a good weekend I'll be back in a few days!

Trail Ride....

Saturday morning Broc and I got up and headed out for a trail ride. It was alot of fun being just the two of us. We of course stopped to get snacks (Broc laughs at me cuz I can't go anywhere without junk food, it's a necessity) then we headed up above Ashton, almost to Island Park where Broc took me to a trial he hunts quite often. On the way there we almost hit a baby deer, then when we got the horses saddled the poor things were being eaten by horse fly's (I killed a good number of those with my hand, yuck!) Then when we started down the trail there were alot of elk tracks so of course Broc was all excited, then we came upon bear tracks so then I started freaking out!!! I had my eyes wide open in case I spotted one. I really think it's cool to see bears from a distance but not on a horse because then the horse would get spooked and take off or buck me off and leave me for bear bait. So half way up the trail Broc see's something in the trees and tells me its a moose, then later I found out he really thought it might have been a bear. He knew better than to tell me cuz I would have turned my horse around and ran the other way! At the top of the trail it was the prettiest view over Mesa Falls. It was so peaceful and calm. Then on the way back we had to go through lots of timber so my arms got cut up a little but good thing I was wearing a hat to protect my face. We got home safe and sound but I was very saddle sore for a couple days! I need to put a pillow on my saddle. Anyways, thanks Broc for taking me!!!

A big girl bike....

The other night Broc just up and decided that it was time for this little girl to have a bigger bike. Her old one was a 10" and it was just getting a little small it had a pedal that kept falling off. So off to Wal Mart we went and that's where we found this 12" Princess bike that she just adores! When we were in the store she was riding it all over and so we thought we would go pay for it since she wouldn't get off! Well....leave it to Broc to forget his wallet!!! She was even riding it up to the register! So Broc made a quick call to his parents who happened to be in town and actually were really close by so they came and saved they day by making the purchase for us. She never was way into riding her bike like she is now. All day she asks if she can go ride it. She goes really fast now and loves to try and keep up with all the bigger kids on the street. She even rides it to the babysitters on the days that I work. I just take Payson in the car and she rides her bike down (it's only about 3 houses down). We loves watching her grow!
-In the car yesterday Brylee said "Mom I have lots of hair on my legs"! WOW, didn't know a 3 year old would notice her hairy legs.....lets just hope she doesn't get any ideas!

Rigby Lake....

Today I took Brylee to Rigby Lake with my friend Bree and her cute little daughter Avri! We had so much fun, I didn't know what to expect cuz it's been like 2 years since I went. It was actually really nice because there weren't very many people. Brylee and Avri just played in the sand the whole time and then as you can see Brylee got more brave and started going deeper and love the water! It was chilly at first though, I can't believe how I used to just go swimming in there like it was no big deal! I'm a wuss now! Thanks Bree so much for the pics you took, I'm glad cuz I wouldn't have had any. And you other girls who were invited better come next time...you know who you are!!! j/k (sorry about having to see my albino body, I am going to fry in Vegas!)

Vinyl lettering!

Isn't that the cutest!? I am so excited to finally have something on Brylee's wall. It was so big and bare so I needed something and thought vinyl would be great. I found someone is who awesome at doing it too! Thanks so much Brandi for doing this for me, it's just the right touch that her room needed. I am going to rearrange her room a little bit so I haven't put her name that you made up yet. If anyone is looking for vinyl lettering, Brandi does amazing! http://inspirationsbybrandipark.blogspot.com check out this site to see more!!!

Vegas Baby....

I have never been to Vegas, I know I'm weird! No one ever believes me when I tell them. But I am now going in a couple weeks for Signature Gathering, it's the biggest Paul Mitchell Hair show of the year. I just got my flight tickets today but I have had my show tickets for a couple weeks now. I am going with some girls from the salon and school and I can't wait!! I get training from the top Paul Mitchell stylists and owners of the company. The tickets cost me an arm and a leg so I'm hoping for the best. We are even staying at the Venetian Hotel which is really nice I hear. That's where the big hair show takes place. Anyways watch out Vegas here I come! (good luck with the kids Broc)

Recipe's by Request....

I have had a couple chica's ask for recipe's and I have forgotten for so long now to get them to these girls (Megan and Nicole P.) so I thought it might just be easier to post them and then if anyone else wanted to try them they could! I love both of these things and I hope you girls enjoy them as well.

The first is called "Chicken Breast Supreme" but I just call it Swiss Cheese Chicken, so take your pick:)

  • Spray 9x 13 inch pan with Pam.
  • Lay skinned, boneless chicken breasts on bottom of pan (just do as many as will cover the bottom, maybe 6) Cover with slices of Swiss Cheese. (we get the swiss cheese sliced at the deli and we use quite a bit so get about 1 lb.)
  • Mix together and pour over top of chicken and cheese:
-1 can cream of chicken soup
-1 can cream of celery soup
    -1 cup sour cream
    -2 Tbsp. orange juice
  • Sprinkle package of stovetop stuffing crumbs on top of chicken and soup mixture.
  • Melt 1/2 a cube of butter and drizzle on top of crumbs.
  • Cover dish tightly with foil. Bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours @ 350
(bake at 250 for 3 hours if gone, then turn up to 350 for a half hour)
*I got this one from my mother-in-law and she is the best cook!

  • The next recipe is a 7 Layer Dip......YUMM-O! I love this stuff and I could eat a whole plate by myself:) Here's to you Shawn and Megan since you live so far away and I can't make if for you anymore:

*I do my dip on two plates since it makes just enough for that, but some people put theirs in pans.
  • 1st Layer:
mix 1 can refried beans, 1 can frito's bean dip, and 1 small taco sauce.
  • 2nd Layer:
mash two to three avacado's and mix with 1 Cup sour cream and 1 Cup Mayo (make sure when you buy avacado's that they are fairly soft but not mushy or else they are too hard to mash) also you can put in a couple drops of lemon juice to help keep the avacados from going brown so fast.
  • 3rd Layer:
grated cheese, olives, green onion, and tomatoe!

really easy and so good! I have tried buying gaucamole and doing it with a layer of Sour cream but it's just not near as good to me. We like ours with Nacho Cheese Dorito's, tradition I guess with my fam but you use whatever chips ya want! I love good recipes so if anyone has some good ones please post them! I hope you enjoy these, let me know if you have questions cuz it's all kind of jumbled together cuz I couldn't get the spacing right for some reason. (enjoy the dip Shawn!)

Random pics....

Brylee got these new cowgirl boots and wants to wear them everywhere! Kind of a dorky pic but it shows what she looks like when we go out now. This is where I draw the line though!

Brylee with her cousins...Kaylie and Ashlyn!
Brylee with Jace and Brynn (her other two cousins)
Brylee feeding her baby's their bottle, what a good mommy!

Payson thinks I don't know where he is when he does this. So I say "Where's Payson?" and he yanks the curtains with a big smile thinking he has totally tricked me....Love it! He's so fun!!

There he is!!!

These last few days at our house have been crazy, non-stop, no naps kind of days. We have been on the go constant it seems like. With me working two days a week, I seem to jam so much into the other days for us to do. The problem is that I haven't taken too many pics. Most of what we have been up to lately is hanging out with family. My sister Whitney is here for a week and she has 3 girls that Brylee loves to hang out with. I love it when we have family here to do stuff with cuz other wise I feel like I have to go alone to take the kids to do anything. We have let the kids swim at grandma's, we cooked out at grandma's, We went shopping and found some great deals at Linens n' Things (they are going out of business here) and Real Deals, and I had two bridal showers to go to this weekend for my good friend Rachel (and I am so happy for her to be getting married!) and while all this was taking place I was all alone with no hubby. Broc went to a softball tournament in Montana so he missed out on all the shopping, sorry bud;)! I know he had a blast though. I heard lots of crazy stories of drunk people and that their hotel had water that looked like chocolate milk....yuck! That's what they showered in!! That's why I just stay home from those events. Those are my events from the last few days so I thought I would just share a few random pics since I haven't been posting them individually.

4th of July Fun!

We had a such a fun but busy 4th of July! We woke up and went to the parade and we got to sit with Brylee's cousins and both granparents so that was nice. Brylee sat on a little chair right on the street by Jake and Gage and she didn't move the whole parade! We were in shock cuz that never happens. She loved it and wanted to go to another one! Then we ate at Craigos for lunch and then I took the kids to nap while Broc went on a horse ride with my dad. Then that night we went to the rodeo, which is my favorite thing to do! I love to watch but I also love the food:) We had a great time and we stayed after to watch the fireworks, they don't compare to the I.F. one's but Brylee sure thought they were neat. Then we came home and lit more fireworks with Broc's sister Shurron and her family. And after all this fun we were exausted! I love the 4th of July it is my favorite holiday next to Christmas. I am very grateful for our Country and for being able to be FREE! Hope everyone else had a great 4th too!!!

Horse ride....

Broc saddling up the horses (Doc O' Smokin gun & O'lena's Nugget Bar) long names huh!?
My cute cowboy trottin' along
Brylee loves to ride with dad!

Well I think we may have found a passion of Brylee's that just might beat princesses! She is obsessed (to put it lightly) with riding horses. We have enjoyed being able to take her out to grandpa's and letting her just ride bare back around but the other night we loaded up the horses and took them out to a friends arena so Broc could work on them a little since they are so out of shape. We just rode around for a little while until we started getting eaten by misquitos! I love to ride so I look forward to many more rides this summer. Today Broc told me that this was the only thing we had in common was riding horses! Sad huh!!!??? He laughed cuz really we are very different.

Talented mother of mine....

My mom is one of the most talented crafty people I know. She always has some fun project she is working on and she always makes the best blankets! The latest project was these cute pictures she stitched of these flowers and she even put buttons on them, and then put scrapbook paper around the edges for the matting and she put them in just some simple black frames. I love them and so she made me some and I put them above the desk in out kitchen where I have quite a bit of space to decorate and I just didn't know what to put up there. So here they are and they look so good with my house because I have alot of black already. Thanks so much mom your the best! I definately did not inherit this crafty gene.

Happy Birthday Broc!

Today was Broc's birthday and he is the big 28! He thinks he is so old. We went to lunch today and then tonight we had a little cookout at my parents house where he opened his gifts and his mom had made his favorite cake that we ate also (She makes the best homemade chocolate cake!) He got some new church clothes, basket ball shoes and of course some other clothes! Probably not what he really wanted but he needed them badly. Then we got the horse out and let Brylee go for a ride and then I jumped on with her. I am bummed I didn't get any pics! I was just too lazy to go to my car;) Anways Happy Birthday Broc, thanks for being a great dad, husband and friend!!! We love you so much and hope you had a great day!
