Christmas Day 2008

Christmas day was such a good day! The kids woke up and came out to see their stockings that santa left for them and then we headed out to Grandma and Grandpa Genta's to spend Christmas morning with them. I had to store all our presents out there and we wrapped them out there so we decided to just take the kids out there to open all the stuff that "Santa" got for them. We spent quite a bit of time with them that day because we were going to be gone all weekend to the cabin with my family. It was really fun to watch the kids. Payson just cared about the M&M's that were in his stocking and then he enjoyed opening presents after he got to eat some of those:) Brylee had such a fun time and got some really fun stuff! My kids were in desperate need of toys! She just kept saying "Oh my heck...look mom!" It was so funny. She was in awe. The bad thing was that when it was over she wanted more presents. haha. She just couldn't believe how fun it was! Broc got lots of Dallas Cowboys gear and he surprised me with an I-Pod Touch!! I didn't know what it was when I opened it but now that I know I love it! He did so good, I was not expecting that at all. Then we headed to my parents where the kids got spoiled with some more fun things (i didn't take pics, i forgot!) Then after a little R&R we headed back out to eat with Brocs parents, we had a very yummy dinner! It was such a good Christmas, i'm so thankful for all the family that we are surrounded by this time of year.

Christmas Eve 2008

Christmas eve was a tired one once again for me this year. I did a floorset at AE from 10 pm to 5 am the night before so the day of christmas eve was kind of a blur. I did get some cute pics of the kids at their grandma and grandpa Genta's house. They took their baths after dinner and then we went in and got some pics by the tree in their cute christmas PJ's then they wanted to play the piano! I love these pics, these two have been pretty good friends lately and it's been so fun! Brylee still didn't really grasp the Christmas thing until the next morning.....

A Very {WHITE} Christmas....

After the huge snowstorm we had here yesterday Broc opened up the front door to show Brylee how much snow there was and you couldn't even see where our steps were. It was non-stop snow all day long! I remember it being like this when I was a little kid but we haven't had a storm like that for a while it doesn't seem like. It's definately going to be a White Christmas! I am so glad because Broc wants to take the kids out behind the four wheeler on the sled so it looks like they will have plenty of snow for that.
Yesterday we received a card in the mail from a man that Broc baptized on his mission. He was 77 when Broc baptized him and he still sends us a card for each holiday 8 or 9 years later! We opened up the card and it was a recording of his voice singing "I wish you a Merry Christmas" Instead of "We" he said "I", it was so cute! He is the sweetest man. I remember him calling me to let me know when Broc would move areas on his mission and give me his new address (against the rules, i know but it was sweet). Anyways we are grateful this time of year to have such amazing people in our lives.
Everyone have a Very Merry, Safe, and Fun Christmas!!!

Watching.....

Every morning when Payson wakes up he pulls his "Little Peoples Garage" over to the window and stands on it to look outside......

Since it has been snowing the kids have been loving to look outside and occasionaly stepping out to play for a few when mom's nice enough;) It is so sweet how Payson just stands there for long periods of time, especially when Broc shovels the driveway, Payson will watch the whole entire time saying daddy and pointing! He's so sweet, I just love this pic of him. He's definately growing up on us!

Brylee and Bella....

My good friend Ericka stopped by to see us the other day on her way through town and Brylee got to hang out with her cute little miniature snouzer, Bella. She was just the sweetest dog. As you can see Brylee didn't know what to think. It took her a while to warm up to the dog. It was funny when Bella would go to lick Brylee she would turn her head so fast. Thanks Ericka for the visit......come when you can stay longer!!!

A Great Christmas a comin'....

I borrowed these two pics off my sis in law's blog! I thought these pics were hilarious (i'm assuming they had just had a little snack) . This is Hallie and Dawson, I haven't seen them for a year now!! They are my adorable neice and nephew, and I am so excited that I get to spend this Christmas with them and their parents! I just love you guys and can't wait to see you!!!!
I have been so anxious for this Christmas. I will have my whole entire family here which consists of 13 Adults, and 14 kids which equals out to a whoppin' 27 people! That's alot when it comes to food and places to sleep. Which will be so fun and exciting because my mom rented a fun cabin up in Driggs for us to stay in for two nights. We are going to be doing some fun things and it will just be nice to hang out with family. A little crazy but fun! That is what Christmas should be all about...spending time with loved ones!

Too cute....

These pics were just too cute not to post. I don't ever want to forget these ages that my kids are at. They do fight alot and don't share their toys most of the time but they really do love eachother! This was last sunday before church and Brylee wanted a picture in front of the tree so then Payson came and sat by her and they were so cute for the pics! Why aren't they like this when I take them to get professional pictures done???

Mom's home!

Tonight I went to I.F. to get some Christmas shopping done and Broc stayed with the kids. Well when I got home I was pulling into the garage and Brylee swung open the back door with this big grin on her face, so I honked.....twice, just to say hello since she was excited to see me. She turned and said something to Broc and turned back with this grin on her face. I got into the house me and Broc were talking about my little trip, and how the kids were and that's when he told me that when I honked at Brylee she turned to him and said this... "Mom farted at me TWICE!" hahaha I'm still laughing and I can't figure out if it's because of what Brylee said with that grin on her face or if it was the great impersonation of it that Broc did. She always says such funny things and usually she has no idea what she's talking about. Just a little story I wanted to remember......

Quarter of a Century....

Yesterday was my 25th birthday, and I just have to say that I have the best friends and family! I got alot of really good calls, and some fun gifts. I was not planning on getting anything from Broc this year. We have definately had to cut back on spending this year like most everyone else. I really didn't want anything because I have realized in this struggling economy that we are SO lucky to have all that we have and that Broc still has a job. I am just so grateful that he isn't in a postion to be layed off. Anyways so all I told Broc I wanted was a date with him. Wish Granted! Before we left he gave me a sweet card with some money in it. I really didn't want him to give me anything, but he's just too nice and still kept apologizing that he didn't do more. I am so grateful to have a husband who just wants to take care of our family. He took me to I.F. where we had some good food, did some shopping and saw a very funny movie (Four Christmases)! Thanks Broc for making it a special day for me!

I just wanted to end this post with a picture that I love. Payson is so sweet and we just love having him in our home. This was yesterday before we dropped him off at my mom's house. Isn't he so cute!?!? I love that smile!

Brylee got in a fight....

...with a pen! This girl never stops making messes, and today she created the mess on herself. I brought Payson home early from church to put him down for a nap and then I decided I would watch the movie 27 Dresses (I got for $3 at Target on Black friday!) Well Broc and Brylee got home and she came into my room for a few minutes and then left and that's the last I saw of her until my movie was over. I came out to find Broc watching football and Brylee was downstairs playing "quietly". So then she comes upstairs looking like so......

(this was after she wiped some off too)
I knew it was too good to be true that I was watching a movie all by myself!!! To top it all off she got into my hope chest and got out my baby book and scribbled all over in it. I was not happy but what do ya do?! kids.....gotta love em.

Oh and 27 Dresses is the cutest show!

O' Christmas Tree....

Brylee had such a fun time helping me decorate the tree this year! I actually had it up for 2 days with no decorations trying to decide if it was worth it, since it would just be undecorated about 2 minutes after we did it. Yes Payson has been busy at work removing one ball at a time and throwing them at the tile. He has only broke one but has removed about 8. If you notice there are limited decorations at the bottom of the tree. It might be totally bare by christmas but that is ok. We had Christmas music playing while we worked on the tree and Payson mostly danced around while we did the work. He is quite the dancer, I need to get it recorded sometime. Anyways Brylee did pretty dang good at making our tree look beautiful, thanks Brylee!

Thanksgiving 2008

This is Brylee's cute little Gingerbread house she made!

We had a really good Thanksgiving this year. It was very busy but we had such a good time! Both sides of the family were here so it was back and forth between our parents houses all weekend. Brylee had a blast with her cousins! I was sad to see the weekend end even though I was so tired by Sunday. Here is a little recap of what we did....

-Wednesday I took my brother down to American Eagle to get him some clothes. It was so good to spend some time with him and just talk. He is such a good brother...we need to find him a wife! ;)
-Thursday, Thanksgiving, we stuffed ourselves at my inlaws and just hung out while the kids played. Then that evening we went to my mom's where we played some fun games. It was so fun, we laughed so hard. It's been a long time since we've been able to play games, but now all the grandkids are getting old enough to play with us or they just go play with eachother. The funnest game is ImaginIFF. So fun, we love playing that. A good day overall!
-Friday I got up and went to I.F. to do a little Christmas shopping with my sis. I was not impressed with the sales at all. I did get what I needed though so that was good. Then we played games again that night! It was so good to just hang out with my siblings and laugh. I also did my sisters hair and cut my nieces hair.
-Saturday we slept in! love doing that. Then I was able to attend a sealing of my friend Amanda and her cute family! We are so blessed to have this temple so close, it was so neat to see their little family sealed to one another. Later we went out to Broc's parents and I went to a little jewlery/purse/scentsy and many more things party with the girls. Then I cut my 2 nephews and brother in laws hair. Then over to my mom's we went and I did 4 more haircuts! It was crazy but I love to do it. And of course we played more games!
-Sunday Payson was pretty sick so we just lounged all day!

it was a crazy busy weekend but it turned out so good! I now have a little boy with strep- throat and a messy house from trying to decorate for christmas. I hope to get that all wrapped up tonight. I love this time of year.....I think we need snow for Christmas though!
